HÆLOS Announce Details of Debut EP, Share Free Download and Tease Video Trilogy

London trio HÆLOS shared news of their debut release today – the 'Earth Not Above' EP will be out via notable indie Matador Records digitally on June 1st (and 12" vinyl at a date to be confirmed). The debut release will be comprised of four tracks:

A1. Earth Not Above
A2. Cloud Nine
B1. Breathe
B2. Ethyr

To celebrate today's news, the band have shared a cover version of The Beloved’s 'The Sun Rising'.

HÆLOS emerged late last year with stellar first track 'Dust', followed in early 2015 by the title track of the forthcoming EP. With each taste has come a bit more detail on the threesome behind the sounds, consisting of Arthur Delaney, Dom Goldsmith and Lotti Benardout. And with today's news, we get a bit more insight into how the band came together and the shared motivations of its members. Says Delaney in today's press release:

“We’ve all arrived at this point off the back of our own paths. We’ve all worked independently for a number of years but to come together and find such a strong synergy between us has been powerful – spiritual, even.

"I guess at the heart of it we are always trying to capture that feeling you get at 5AM. Jamming with your friends after a night out, treading that fine line between darkness and euphoria, fear and love. That’s the time that all our favourite music gets put on; it’s where the beauty is at.

“Our songwriting process can be uncomfortable and sometimes painful, but we want to write evocative music that captures the spirit of what it means to be alive and human.”

The band have also teased a video trilogy via their Facebook page (including the as yet unlisted 'Fray', which we can only assume is the next single on deck). Check out the trailer below and be sure to follow HÆLOS for updates on Facebook and Twitter.
